The Bothy

The Bothy is a self-contained cottage which has been converted from a grain and apple store and old washhouse, and which sleeps 2 people only. It is adjacent to the farmhouse so you are not isolated but still private.

On the ground floor there is a kitchen / dining area, walking through to the sitting room. The kitchen has an electric cooker, microwave, toaster and fridge, with a small freezer compartment.

The sitting room is cosy, with TV and DVD player, plus a radio and CD player.

Upstairs is the gallery, where seating has been placed for a quiet reading area.

Through to the bedroom and en-suite shower room. You are provided with bedding (duvet), towels, alarm clock radio and a hairdryer.

The outside patio faces west so has the afternoon and evening sun plus some spectacular sunsets - not to be missed. Enjoy your summer supper sitting outside whilst the sun is setting!

We are happy to accept your dog by prior arrangement, subject to a small charge. We normally limit to one dog and please be aware that we have our own cats, dogs and chickens that roam freely.

The Bothy is heated by electricity. A laundry service is available.

Should you wish to have friends join you then we can provide Bed and Breakfast in the farmhouse and also have a Caravan Club CL site on the property.

We have a large pond on site for Carp fishing - open from 15th June - 15th March.

There are plenty of  very good pubs providing excellent food within a 5 mile radius, which saves cooking!
